Make your first clips
Paste a link or upload a video, confirm the cost, and get short clips with captions.
MasterClip turns one long video into short clips with captions. You give it a link or a file. It picks the moments, keeps the person talking in frame, and gives you clips to download.
Submit a video
- Open Home in the left sidebar.
- Choose Paste a link or Upload a file.
- For a link, paste it and press Submit. We read the video's length and show the cost in credits.
- Set the options under the box, or leave them as they are. See Submit options.
- Press Confirm & submit. For a file, the button says Upload & process.
A link that costs more than 30 credits asks you to confirm once more before any credits are taken.
What comes back
Clips are vertical 9:16, 1080 by 1920 pixels, unless you pick another shape under Format: square 1:1, portrait 4:5 or wide 16:9. Each clip has the captions you chose.
Each clip has a title, a transcript, a hook label and a score out of 100. The clip with the highest score comes first. See Your clips.
A video shorter than 60 seconds comes back as one clip.
How long it takes
The submit page shows the usual time before you confirm. An uploaded video of up to a minute is usually ready in under a minute, a 10 minute video in 2 to 10 minutes and a 60 minute video in 15 to 35 minutes.
A link takes longer, because the video is fetched first. A 10 minute YouTube video is usually ready in 4 to 12 minutes.
The time starts when work on your video begins. If other videos are ahead of yours, yours waits in the queue first.
The video's page shows the current step, a progress bar and the usual time. You can close the page. Your clips will be in My projects when they are ready.
What it costs
1 credit for each started minute of video. See Credits.
Only submit videos you own or have permission to use.
